After eighteen years of managing large-scale projects with a well-known commercial electrical contractor, Photon Electric's founder, Chris Estereicher, decided that he wanted to take on the challenge of becoming an independent, service-oriented, client-focused electrical contractor.
As a result, Chris founded Photon Electric in 2018. Since then, the business has grown to offer a wide range of services including distribution systems, power generation, fire alarm systems, tenant improvements, LED lighting retrofits, data communications, and much more.

Chris boasts over thirty years of experience as an electrician in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors of Alberta and British Columbia, and is a Master Electrician in both provinces. He has experience running large-scale electrical projects such as the 8th Avenue Place West Tower, Brookfield Place Tower, and The Core Fire Alarm Retrofit. Chris' continuing pursuit to reach a deep understanding of electrical code and theory has given him the exclusive opportunity to contribute to the CSA Group's Canadian Electrical Code, as well as the CAN/ULC fire alarm sections. On the business side of things, Chris is a Gold Seal superintendent and has also obtained the Professional Electrical Contractor certification.
Chris Gammel has been in the electrical trade for eighteen years. He has a wide range of experience in new construction, as well as maintenance and upgrade of existing installations. Chris has worked in many different settings from kitchen renovations to large downtown towers and oil and gas plants. As a result, he has a well-rounded knowledge of both safe work practices and electrical code that can be applied to Photon Electric's projects.

Cody is a certified Master Electrician with over 13 years experience in commercial construction, renovations and maintenance of electrical systems. He has varied experience working on large-scale projects including the construction of Eighth Avenue Place, financial institutions, retail and tenant retrofits; yet, his main passion resides in service and troubleshooting. Cody prides himself on his professionalism and attention to detail and he is ecstatic to bring that enthusiastic excitement to Photon Electric.
